Covid-19 Information

The NHS in Barnsley and Public Health England (PHE) are extremely well prepared for outbreaks of new infectious diseases.  The NHS has put in place measures to ensure the safety of all patients and NHS staff while also ensuring services are available to the public as normal.

It is important we prevent the spread of this virus, in particular to people with underlying health problems

If you have a temperature (above 37.8) and/or a cough (this includes children) loss of taste or smell, please DO NOT come to surgery but go home and self-isolate from the onset of symptoms following the current advice. If you have serious symptoms and cannot manage at home you should use NHS 111 online (people should only call NHS 111 if they cannot get online).

If you have symptoms of corona virus you may call 119 to book a test or visit the following website:

Please do not come to the surgery if you are awaiting results from a Corona Virus Test

Do not go to a GP surgery, community pharmacy or hospital. Use NHS 111 online (only call NHS 111 if you cannot get online) stay indoors and avoid close contact with other people.
