Opening Hours

The surgery runs appointments on a triage structure. Please call the surgery when the phone lines open to avoid dissapointment. You can also submit an online consultation HERE.

The surgery closes from 12:00pm on the second Thursday of every month for staff training. There are also mandatory BEST meetings which the GP's attend, these happen monthly on a Wednesday. Please see the bottom of this page for more information.

If you require urgent medical assistance when the surgery is closed, which cannot wait until the surgery re-opens; please dial 111 and you will be connected to the NHS 111 service.

Calls to this service are free from both landlines and mobile phones, and the service is commissioned by Barnsley Clinical Commissioning Group.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and/or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

Sheffield NHS Minor Injuries Unit (Adults only), B Floor, Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Glossop Road, Sheffield S10 2JF - Open 08:00 – 20:00 every day

Emergency Eye Care Service - an emergency eye care service is available at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital for adults only.

Opening times:

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday - 08:00 to 16:30
• Wednesday - 09:00 to 16:30

111 online is a fast and convenient alternative to the 111 phone service and provides an option for people who want to access 111 digitally. 

Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need:

• Treat yourself at home
• Go to a Primary Care Centre

If you need face to face medical attention you may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre.
